Patient Information
Sunshine Coast Vascular
New and returning patients
You will need a referral from your General Practitioner to arrange a consultation with Dr Magee. Please bring this to your first appointment, along with your:
- Medicare/DVA card
- health fund details if you are privately insured
- a list of your current medications
- any preliminary scan results arranged by your GP (please bring image films/CDs if you have them, not just reports)
For your visit
Please aim to arrive 10 minutes prior to your first appointment in order to complete the patient registration process. During your initial consultation, Dr Magee will discuss your current symptoms and background medical history, and perform a physical examination. Further tests or scans may then be required to clarify the diagnosis.  Your options and recommended treatment plan will then be discussed, and you are encouraged to ask questions or discuss any concerns. You are always welcome to bring a family member or friend with you.
How long will it take?
Whilst we always endeavour to stick to appointment times, at times Dr Magee deals with medical emergencies and takes urgent calls from other doctors. We appreciate your understanding in case of unexpected delays.
Elective procedures
Elective procedures are performed at Buderim Private Hospital. Some treatments for varicose veins are also performed at the practice.
Respect & Safety
Our practice is a place of respect for our team, patients and visitors. We want your experience at Sunshine Coast Vascular to be pleasant and aggressive language and behaviour will not tolerated. If you are deemed to be behaving inappropriately, we will no longer be able to continue your care.
We are here to help you!
